About us

Established in 2019, Doon Woods Global School was founded with a clear vision: to provide quality education that nurtures academic excellence, strong values, and holistic development. Under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Hari Bhandari, the school has grown into a vibrant learning community known for its commitment to discipline, innovation, and student-centered education.

At Doon Woods Global School, we believe that every child is capable of greatness when given the right environment. Our modern infrastructure, well-designed classrooms, and activity-rich campus create a space where children learn joyfully and meaningfully. Origin & History

Doon Woods Global School stands in the Capital City of Uttrakhand situated in the South West of Dehradun, at the mid of Education Hub.
The parent Institution emerged with the name ‘CAPE COMORIN INSTITUTE’ in 1994 which is still in the process of manufacturing talents who are serving in different organisations Globally.

While converting a raw student into a sharp edge educational weapon, it was felt that we should provide a strong foundation to the bright future of the Nation. This feeling motivated us to frame such a self contained Educational destination which can make jump the aspirants through the ocean. And thus, Idia of ‘DOON WOODS GLOBAL SCHOOL’ emerged.

All Dimensional Development

Origin & History

It is important that children understand communication not just through speaking, but also by using body language and gestures.

Cognitive Development

It is crucial that a child’s learning, understanding, problem solving, reasoning and memory skills are enhanced through various activities.

Fine Motor Development

At a very early age, the child should be able to use his or her hands not only to eat and dress, but also to draw, play, write, be creative and inventive and in the process, develop aesthetic skills.

Gross Motor Development

Gross motor skills help in developing simple skill like how to sit, stand, walk and run, keep balance and change position.

Personal Awareness

Habits are formed at this stage and it is imperative that children learn not only about themselves but also develop independence, safety and hygiene.

Physical Abilities

Sports such as athletics, field games, judo, karate, skating, chess, etc.

Socio emotional Development

It is very important that children learn to build positive relationships with their family friends and teachers.

Academic or Intellectual Abilities

Development of language skills such as poetry writing, mathematical abilities, scientific abilities, space programs, robotics inventions and project, forensic science, scientific skills, etc.

Creative Abilities

Developing artistic skill like dance, musical instrumental or vocal (Western or Classical), drama, photography, drawing/painting, sculpture, etc.

Talent Development

It is important to help the children identify their abilities early in life so that their full potential can be realized. It is a gradual process from kindergarten to middle school. We encourage children to be creative and provide an environment where they can express themselves and feel inspired from within. We identify every student’s specific strength and focus our attention on the development of those. Talents are divided into 4 major domains.

Social Abilities

Focus on abilities which children use in their daily interactions with classmates, teachers and parents, development of other qualities such as leadership, problem solving abilities, interpersonal communication, handling peer pressure, etc. All stakeholders in the school- teachers, parent, and students themselves play an important role in identifying and channelizing the talent of the child in the right direction.

Infrastructure

Being the second home, serve a number of purposes in a child’s life. From boosting their confidence to making them learn the importance of team work and socialization, schools do it all. Away from home, schools become the place for children to spend their maximum time. A vast expanse of 7 acres provides a perfect ambiance for an aesthetically chartered school building. The lung space, the open lawns are marked with a colorful bonanza of fresh floral bounty. We have planned to provide a WiFi enabled infrastructure comprising of sufficient ventilated classrooms, science, Mathematics and Language laboratories and libraries where books span time, space, culture and genre. To aid the process of learning we have a sound proof auditorium, state of art recording studio, an AV room, two resource centre for teachers, a sports field, a basement to facilitate physical fitness and indoor games, a discovery room to enhance the scientific temperament and an art gallery to showcase the creative flair of the students schools.
Academics Curriculum
We follow The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum as it is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by Union Government of India. As per CBSE instructions, we follow NCERT curriculum.

Guiding the Way We Learn, Our Leadership Staff and Lecturers

Teacher leaders assume a wide range of roles to support school and student success. Whether these roles are assigned formally or shared informally, they build the entire school’s capacity to improve. Because teachers can lead in a variety of ways, many teachers can serve as leaders among their peers. So our first session will be started from March 2019, we are in the process of recruiting best teaching faculty.
